RESIDENCIES & INTERNSHIPS
Residency: The Watershed ceramic residency seems really nice but for more experienced artists, but I doubt I would want any sort of residency or internship before I'm very experienced. They have a very hands-off approach and put 16 artists in one large studio for everyone to mingle. I would be nervous to be accepted into something like this.
Internship: The Gaya internship seems like something I would enjoy and benefit from but its 6 months long. They teach you more about ceramics and how to run a studio.I think they only accept one though, so it would be pretty hard to get in.

Any kind of pottery studio that I can work in Conway or nearby areas to gain experience would be great. Like Glazin or Good Day pottery studio. I wouldn't really want to go to Little Rock but I would if I had to.

I made a Tik Tok account for my ceramics and it's actually going really well. Most pieces I've uploaded so far have about 3000 views and a few comments, but one video I uploaded has 570K views, 100k likes, and almost 2000 comments! I only have 4 videos uploaded, but I will have more ready to upload soon (for about 660 followers now). I am trying to go for a mysterious, unsettling, anonymous vibe.

This is a pinterest collection of Grillz I think are really cool. I think Grillz are an amazing piece of jewelry that many think are limited to a certain community, when that just isn't true. I had a subtle pair of vampire Grillz I loved until I somehow lost them. I plan to get the same pair again soon. Here they are before I lost them:

This article talks about Koji Kasatani's ceramic realism. I really want to get to the point where I can make my work sharp and realistic rather than blobby. 1 - This is the first and the simplest ceramics project I've done. My mouth cup is a simple, hand built tea cup that has a mouth interior. It is unslipped and unglazed at this point in time.
2 - This is an easier project, my flesh cup. It sits on the spikes completely level. It is also unslipped and unglazed, and the first photo is a demonstration on how to hold it.
3 - This was the most difficult so far, and I had to start over halfway through. I eventually got it to where I want it though. It is also unslipped and unglazed.
Bonus - Bonus ash tray for my boyfriend. Not an assignment.
